I was looking forward to spend $297.00 on the Marketing Sherpa Landing Page Handbook, but was holding off from the purchase due to the book being from 2005 and a new edition arriving soon. Well, the new edition has arrived, but I am not sure if want to spend money on it. I have some debating with myself to do because the price of the book increased from $297.00 to a whooping $497.00. That is not cheap. If the information is right and if I am able to implement things properly it would pay for itself, but if not I would have spent $497.00 for nothing. …. but hold off from judging just yet. I can sell it on Ebay once I am done reading the book and recover some of my expenses. My problem this month is that I also want to purchase Camtasia Studio 5 which will set me back $299.00. I want to create some tutorials and think that is a great software to do so. Together this would create almost $800.00 in expenses I will not see an immediate return for. I expect Camtasia to pay for itself in about 6-12 months. I did not really have the Marketing Sherpa Handbook on my radar as I did not know when it was going to be released.
Ok, enough for the whining. I will spend almost $800 this month for Camtasia Studio 5 and the Marketing Sherpa’s Landing Page Handbook because I see those as great investments for my business.
If you want to be big in regards to success you have to make decisions accordingly. If you go cheap your business growth will be slow and that is what I have been doing way too long. I am now able to spend money on certain things. Yes, it sets me back quite a bit and I will need a about 1.5 months just to recover from an unexpected (and unbudgeted) expense, but I see the potential of eventually pushing my business to another level with these tools.

Yeah, I feel your pain, I almost fell out of my chair when i saw the price. Can’t they just sell it for half price in PDF format?
I have boxes and boxes of books which I never ever touched… again. Would be a wate to get another physical book when a PDF would do much better.
